Nicole Ettinger is a producer and lawyer with over a decade of experience producing award winning and critically acclaimed independent features, television, web content, short films and music videos. Most recently she produced Inextinguishable Fire that premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival. Before that she co-produced Natural Selection which won SXSW and was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards. She was also the production manager on the 2005 Student Academy Award winning short film Wednesday Afternoon.
Based in Los Angeles, Nicole has produced content all over Southern California as well as around the globe, having shot films in Las Vegas and Alaska (Hers), Texas (Natural Selection) and Thailand (Pernicious). She has produced, line produced and/or production managed projects for Fox Digital (Bad Samaritans, Shotgun Wedding), Maker Studios (Party Girl), Hulu (East Los High) and a multitude of independent production companies.
Nicole's upcoming projects include the independent feature films Underwater Upside Down (Derek Miller, Matt Shively, Sally Kellerman and Mark Boone Jr.) and Golden Vanity (Melora Hardin) as well as the series Party Girl (Lisa Schwartz, Ed Begley Jr. and Beverly D’Angelo).
Nicole received her M.F.A. in Producing from the American Film Institute in 2004. Prior to AFI, she practiced law in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco where she represented media companies in all aspects of corporate law. Nicole received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School and her B.A. in English from the University of California, Davis. She is an active member of the California Bar and performs production legal services for a wide range of clients in the film and television industry.
